OUR HORSES
When we started looking at breeding PRE horses we had a definite idea in mind of what type of horse we wanted. In our search for our foundation stock we wanted to obtain horses of around 15.2hh to 16hh, of a short coupled type with powerful quarters. For a horse to be able to execute collected movements they need to be immensely strong through the loin and hind end.
The combination of bloodlines in Elegida, Flamante and Fierro gives us all of these qualities with outstanding personalities. All three horses are a blend of Carthusian and Military bloodlines with some exemplary horses in their pedigrees. Fierro and Flamante share the same sire, Invasor III, son of Ignacio Ramblas’ Olympic stallion, Evento. Invasor III was bred by Romero Benitez, and later went to the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre.
Elegida is the daughter of Botijo M, national functionality champion in North America in 2007, and Delia, daughter of the gorgeous stallion Gaucho III.
All three horses possess the calmness and intelligence so typical of this wonderful breed, combined with outgoing personalities and an ability to get into any mischief that they can!
