DC Acero is already displaying the excellent conformation and outstanding temperament of his parents.  Both parents have a blend of Carthusian and Military bloodlines with some exemplary horses in their pedigrees.  Acero is out of PRE mare Elegida AT, daughter of Botijo M who was awarded Absolute Campeon de Funcionalidad at the National Celebration of the Pure Spanish Horse in September 2007.  Her maternal grandfather is Gaucho III, who is half-brother to Invasor II, team silver medallist for Spain at the 2004 Olympics.  Acero is sired by PRE stallion Fierro AT, son of Invasor III who was bred by Romero Benitez, and later went to the Real Escuela Andaluza del Arte Ecuestre in Spain.  Fierro's paternal grandfather is Ignacio Ramblas' Olympic stallion, Evento.

The temperament of both mare and stallion are beautiful.  Last year, Elegida was started under saddle by our professional trainer who has started hundreds of horses over the past decade, and declared her to be the most willing, easiest horse she has ever worked with.  Both parents are kind and inquisitive, bond closely with their humans, and have an outstanding work ethic.  Both parents have excellent conformation, which they have passed along to their offspring.

Born in April 2011, DC Briosa is a silver dun filly sired by Fierro AT.  The dam is a beautiful hackney mare.  Briosa is very inquisitive and people-oriented.  Her movement is very light and correct, and she is showing great agility.
